Curiosity, Conviction, and Complexity

I enjoyed Stewart's section on Cultivating Creativity (128-139) because it actually made sense to me.
She mentioned in this section that creativity is unpredictable, which is the best thing I've heard because I don't know if anyone actually sets out to be creative.

Who just wakes up and says, "I will be creative today."

Probably a lot of artists and designers, actually. But it's still a good point, I think.

The point she made about curiosity is true, because when you come upon something new you're immediately drawn to finding out more about it. Then you try to figure out the new thing based on prior knowledge, or as Stewart puts it, "creative people value existing knowledge." This is conviction. All of this and complexity (among a few other things), makes creativity.

I think I'm mostly just a fan of how she's made the very ambiguous concept of creativity into something simpler.
